Colocation involved providing your own computer system to be placed on our
network and connected to the Internet. In this case you are completely responsible
for the machine. The pricing is less expensive than the dedicated hosting option.
Pricing (in US Dollars):
Colocation
Includes space for a 2U Rack unit with max wattage of 400w
(client must provide the computer system)
15 minutes of UPS power with generator backup
10/100baseT network connection
2 static assigned IP addresses
Maximum transfer per month of 5GB
One site visit per month for 3 hours during business hours included, other physical access chargeable
Backup tape change twice per week of provided tapes and tape drive
Relational Host does not physically access the machine or provide any support in any way for this setup other
than to reboot it if required.
A mail server may be setup but if found to be an open relay or sending SPAM it will be shutdown
A DNS server may not be setup on the machine
We will work with you to provision your own phone lines to the machine for fax/voip/dialup/leased line, etc...
We will customize the firewall settings to let through traffic for voip, cvs, non-standard web ports, etc., but
it needs to be documented for us during the install.
